the sun is setting, and the light entering the school common room is orange and pink and it makes the velvet couches look even more comfortable. a small group of students are playing on the coffee table next to the fireplace, not lit for the first time since winter started, so you sit on another sofa next to the window and open your book. you know your glance will be lost in the beauty of the school grounds outside, since all the trees are changing colour because of the sunset, and it still smells like wet grass.
a cat jumps next to you on the sofa. you can't help it but let it rest its small furry head on your lap and you begin reading.
